With real estate liquidity markets frozen, Argonaut presented a unique source of growth capital and understood the rare long-term opportunity amidst financial market chaos. The partnership allowed Aimbridge to grow its portfolio of properties from 90 to 320 prior to the Company’s sale.
Argonaut understood the unique attributes needed to successfully partner with entrepreneurs in fast growing businesses. With help from its real estate operating partners, Argonaut lent both capital and industry expertise to guide the Aimbridge management team as they deployed capital and grew their managed base by thousands of rooms. Argonaut successfully negotiated a sale of its ownership stake in Aimbridge to Lee Equity Partners in 2013.
